Player and Volunteer Recruitment

Members –

I hope this past hockey season was enjoyable for both you and your player(s). Even though the season just ended a month ago, the Association just held its annual elections and is starting its new year. This is a time for reviewing this past season to look for areas we can improve upon and planning for next year.

Two of the areas that the board has targeted for improvement are Player Recruitment and Volunteer Recruitment.

Let’s take a look at these areas one by one:

Player Recruitment:

This area is targeted to address our competitiveness in District 10, to ensure the kids are having fun in a competitive environment, and to maximize player growth. No matter what level team a kid is playing on, they will have fun if they are competitive and are being challenged.

Volunteer Recruitment:

This area has a high level of importance for our association as it has a direct effect on the success of CIHA. Simply put, the more volunteers we have the more responsibilities can be shared and workloads can be lightened. The lighter the workloads on a few individuals, the more energy we have to utilize in other areas. The board encourages all members, no matter the age of your player to get involved, as a coach or someone holding an operational position, or anything else that the association needs assistance with.

This past season we had 235 players in our association, and we had approximately 50 volunteers, board members, coaches, managers, etc that assisted our players.  We need more, we need your help to make this association a better place for our players. IT TAKES A VILLAGE!

Please email board@cambridgeisantihockey.org if you can help in any way.
