Cambridge-Isanti Hockey Association (CIHA) is a community-based, volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to providing a positive and inclusive hockey experience for youth of all skill levels. Our mission is to develop good teammates, strong leaders, and well-rounded individuals both on and off the ice.

At CIHA, we believe hockey is more than just a game. It is a way to teach accountability, teamwork, and resilience. We focus on skill development, sportsmanship, and building a love for the game that lasts a lifetime. Whether your child is just learning to skate or has years of experience, they will find a supportive environment with caring coaches, passionate volunteers, and meaningful connections.

CIHA serves families who reside within the Cambridge-Isanti School District boundaries, in accordance with USA Hockey & Minnesota Hockey rules, and our teams compete in District 10. While we have limited equipment support available, we strive to reduce barriers where we can and to make hockey more accessible for all families in our community.

We are proud to offer structured programming, a strong sense of belonging, and opportunities for players to grow both as athletes and individuals. We work closely with Minnesota Hockey and USA Hockey to ensure a safe and development-focused environment for every player.

In Minnesota, learning to skate is almost a rite of passage. Our Learn to Skate program is the perfect starting point for young kids who are new to the ice. It’s low-cost, low-pressure, and there’s no commitment to join hockey afterward. This is a great way for families to explore skating and build confidence before diving into the full season.
